According to the press a cooperation between Interpol an Frontex concerning the sharing of data on migrants crossing the Mediterranean has been planned during the 40th Interpol European regional conference in Malta from 11-13-May.
– Can the Commission provide any information on the current status of the planned cooperation?

– Can the Commission indicate the legal basis and provide information on how the planned cooperation shall be conducted?

– Can the Commission provide any information on the contents of the planned cooperation as to which data shall be shared, how long the data shall be stored and for what purposes the data will be used?

– Does the Commission think, that Frontex should do the cooperation before the mandate has been adopted?
